IAF Corporal hangs self near PMO

New Delhi, Nov 13 (UNI) A Corporal of the Indian Air Force allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at the Race Course station near the Prime Minister's residence.

N Rajeshwar Singh, hailing from Manipur and posted at R K Puram office, was found hanging at an under-construction barrack of the Air Force on Race Course Road, according to the police.

The call to the police was made in the afternoon.

In his suicide note, Singh said he was ending his life as he did not have any friends here and felt desolated and depressed.

He also wrote that no one should be held responsible for his 'act'.

His body has been sent for a post-mortem to the Lady Hardinge Hospital, police added.
