Vineyards
in
Pune
have
been
hit
by
a
deadly
virus
owing
towhich
imports
of
grape
plants
have
been
adversely
affected.
The
viruses,
detected
as
'leafroll'
and
'rugose',
have
reportedly
come
to
India
through
imported
varieties
of
grape
plants.
The
viruses
have
spread
to
various
other
varieties
of
plants
in
grapevines
Experts
maintain
that
the
imported
varieties
of
plants
are
responsible
for
the
spread
of
virus
in
Pune,
Nasik
and
other
places.
