Spl laboratory soon for detection of cyber crimes: Kumaran

Chennai, Nov 12 (UNI) This metropolis will have a special laboratory soon for detection of cyber crimes, Chennai City Police Commissioner Nanjil Kumaran said today.

Inaugurating a programme organised jointly by Central Crime Branch and NASSCOM here, he said training was being provided to 35 Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors on detection of cyber crimes.

He said there was an increase in the number of cyber crimes in the city and an imperative need to set up a special lab exclusively for detection of cyber crimes similar to the one in Hyderabad.

The lab would be set up soon, the Commissioner added.
