SP sets up probe team for police encounters

Lucknow, Nov 12 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh principal opposition Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has constituted a team to probe into the police encounters during the past four months.

''The probe team, includes state party president Shivpal Singh Yadav, former Vidhan Sabha speaker Mata Prasad Pandey, leader of opposition in Vidhan Parishad Ahmad Hassan, former minister Avdhesh Prasad and an MLA from Santkabir Nagar Dashrat Chauhan,'' UP SP secretary S R S Yadav today said.

The team would investigate into the encounters done during the past four months and submit its report to the SP national president, he added.
