Ranchi, Nov 12 (UNI) In a move to address the long-pending irrigation projects concerning Jharkhand and Bihar, a secretary-level meeting of the departments concerned from both sides will be held on December 3 here.
Bihar Resource Development Minister Ramashray Prasad Singh today announced this after a meeting with his Jharkhand counterpart Kamlesh Kumar Singh at the latter's official residence here.
Mr Prasad said at the proposed high-level official meeting, which he termed as a serious step towards finding a solution to the matter, would also be attended by chief engineers of the department from both states.
After that, a ministerial-level meeting would be held after coming Assembly sessions scheduled for some time next month.
He said prior to that both states would try to hold another meeting in New Delhi with the Prime Minister during the Water National Resource Council scheduled for November 27.
The Jharkhand Water Resource Minister said both sides were serious to address the long-pending projects that included mainly North Koyal, Indraprastha and Basani.
Mr Singh said some local projects concerning Jharkhand alone like Sarjana, Kachi, Kansa, Bhairawa and Ramrekha were progressing well.
