SAIL to establish ultra-modern plant in MP
Bhopal, Nov 12: Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) will establish a steel-based ultra-modern product-mix light structural mill in Hoshangabad at a cost of Rs 150 crore with a producing capacity of one lakh tonne per year.
Union Minister of State (MoS) for Steel Akhilesh Das informed this to Union MoS for Personnel and Parliamentary Affairs through a letter.
Official sources said here today that the process for acquiring land at Dholaria village, 20 km from Hoshangabad district headquarters, for setting up the plant has started.
More than 50 acre land is required for establishing the plant.
Sources said the plant was being set up on the lines of Bhilai steel plant in Durg district of Chhattisgarh. The process to establish the plant would take about two years after acquisition of land.
