redBus.in launches Chennai operations

Chennai, Nov 12: redBus.in, India's largest online bus ticket service, today launched its Chennai operations after a a three-month trial service.

Company Marketing Head Mayank Bidawatka, in a release here, said Chennai had been increasingly contributing significantly to the online and offline traffic and sales, leading to its launch.

www.redBus.in was the country's largest online bus ticket service, with offices in six locations, serving 14 States. Customers booking their bus tickets online have the option of choosing their seat, ordering for home delivery and paying using an exhaustive list of payment mechanisms.

Mr Bidawatka said ''online bus booking is a large latent opportunity and it will only grow after the customers experience the advantages of booking online. With the largest network of bus operators, customers will now be able to choose their preferred operator from the comfort of their home and office.'' The company also introduced the option of booking tickets through mobile phones. ''Just like the online bus booking, we will be pioneers of mobile technology in this space,'' he said.
