Picasso sketch worth $ 650,000 stolen in Mexico

MEXICO CITY, Nov 12 (Reuters) A sketch by Pablo Picasso, valued at 650,000 dollars, was stolen from a house on the outskirts of Mexico City, local media reported.

A thief broke into the house in a posh area yesterday and made off with a metallic suitcase holding the sketch, which was not named or described.

Also stolen was 90,000 dollars in cash and a collection of luxury watches, according to the state-run news agency Notimex.

Picasso, one of the most recognised figures of 20th century art, was one of the founders of the Cubist movement.
