Official visits malaria hit villages in Karnataka district
Belgaum, Nov 12 (UNI) Zilla Panchayat CEO Prabhakar today visited malaria affected Hulkatti village of Gokak taluka and initiated immediate steps to check its spread and assured proper treatment those affected.
The officials visit comes in the wake of malaria cases being reported from nearly 21 villages in the area.
Speaking to the reporters in the village he said till date 2148 cases of malaria had been reported and two persons were admitted in private hospitals had died.
He said the village will be sanitised and improved under Suvarna gram plan. He said that 29 para medical and medical officers had been deployed in Gokak, Ramadurg, Savadatti talukas in this district where malaria cases have been identified.
