Modi's call for 'Gujarat Model' stirs hornet's nest
Bangalore, Nov 12 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today said the formation of a BJP-led Government in Karnataka will give a big boost to the party ahead of Assembly elections in his State in December.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the swearing-in ceremony of the coalition government here, he said the new government would follow the 'Gujarat Model,' much to the amazement of many gathered there.
However, the BJP President Rajanath Singh was quick to clarify that Mr Modi was ''only'' referring to the Gujarat's Model of development and not the Hindutva agenda.
''He only meant that Gujarat model of development would be followed. Gujarat today is an example for other states to follow,'' Mr Singh said.
