Milk producers to press for regularisation, fixed scales

Tiruchirapalli, Nov 12 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Milk Producers Cooperative Society Employees Federation today urged the state government to regularise the services of the employees of Primary Milk Cooperative Societies immediately.

Mr R Panneerselvam Federation's President and Mr A S Rajendran Federation's Organising Secretary told newsmen here after their state executive meeting that a resolution to this effect was adopted at the meeting.

They said there were 24,000 employees working in 9000 milk cooperatives all over the state for the past many years without getting just concessions from the government without a regular scale of pay and concessions on par with the state government employees.

They also wanted the government to redesignate the secretaries of milk cooperatives as special officers.
