Jaish militant killed in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 12 (UNI) A militant of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) was killed in an encounter in south Kashmir, official sources said.

They said the encounter ensued after a joint search party of 55 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police was attacked by the militants from a house at village Manduna, Pulwama, last night.

One militant, identified as Mushtaq Ahmad alias Zahid, was killed in the encounter. One AK rifle and other arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain militant.
