Education Minister stable: doctor

Jalandhar, Nov 12 (UNI) Punjab Education Minister Dr Upinderjit Kaur, who was admitted in a private hospital here on Sunday night, was stable now.

Dr Upinderjit Kaur underwent heart operation and pace maker was implanted in her chest when she was admitted in the Tagore Heart Care and Research Centre here when her conditions deteriorated due to low heart rate.

Hospital's Managing Director Dr Vijay Mahajan said the 68-year-old Minister, who is MLA from Sultanpur Lodhi constituency in Kapurthala district, was stable and recuperating well. She would be discharged within next three to four days, he added.
