Coalition government in J

Srinagar, Nov 12 (UNI) The Congress in Jammu and Kashmir today asserted that the coalition government, led by it, in the state would complete the full term.

Addressing a public meeting at Kralpora in Kupwara district, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed said the mandate given by the people to the coalition government and its partners would be honoured.

The coalition government in the state would complete its full term, he said, adding the mandate of the people would be respected in all circumstances.

''We don't believe in hollow slogans. We believe in development, peace, progress and prosperity of the state and its people.'' Mr Sayeed said the coalition government has implemented 90 per cent of the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) of the ruling alliance.

The coalition government was committed to fulfilling all the promises made in the CMP and would leave no stone unturned to mitigate the sufferings of the common masses, he added.

The JKPCC President further said the Congress was committed to ensuring equal development, progress and prosperity in all the three regions of the state. Lot of development works have been taken up and crores of rupees were being spent on the projects, he added.

Mr Sayeed said there was huge flow of funds from the Central government, which need to the spent in a right way and time.
