Booklet on instituion delivery released

Chandigarh, Nov 12 (UNI) The Chandigarh Administration today released a booklet that highlights various tips for motivating women for institutional delivery.

The booklet, "Janani Shishu Swasthya Abhiyan Karya Marg Darshika", has been prepared by the District Family Welfare Bureau.

It also highlights tips for breast feeding, benefit to mother and child, immunization and nutritious recipes for infants and mothers among other things.

UT Administrator S F Rodrigues had earlier launched a project for improving "Monitorable Indicators of Reproductive and Child Health" in the Union Territory of Chandigarh.

The booklet has been prepared for the convenience of Anganwari Workers from the Department of Social Welfare so as to involve them in the effort for improving "Monitorable Indicators" of Chandigarh to be at par with European standards.
