Bengal bandh paralyses train services in NE Frontier Railways
Katihar, Nov 12 (UNI) Train services remained paralysed since morning in Katihar division of North East Frontier Railways(NEFR) today following Bengal bandh sponsored by the Trinamool Congress to protest the violence in Nandigarm.
Senior Commercial Manager of Railways, Katihar, R K Singh said here, several trains running to and from North Eastern states had been stopped at separate railway stations. Mr Singh said Guwahati bound Rajdhani express and North East express were standing at Katihar railway station, New Jalpaigudi bound Capital express was stranded at Barsoi railway station, Awadh Express had been stationed at Kishanganj railway junction, while Kanchanjanga express and New Delhi bound Rajdhani express had been stopped at New Jalpaigudi railway station.
He said that some passenger and goods trains were also stranded at different railway stations in view of the bandh.
