Agr Nodal Cell Governing Board constituted

Chandigarh, Nov 12 (UNI) The Haryana government has constituted the Governing Board of Nodal Cell at the Directorate of Agriculture, Panchkula for the purpose of implementation of the scheme "Support to State Extension Programmes for Extension Reforms".

A spokesman for the Agriculture Department said the chairman of this Governing Board of Nodal Cell would be the Director Agriculture and the members would be Director General, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development, Director Horticulture, Director, Extension Education, CCS Haryana Agriculture University, Hisar and Director Fisheries.

Additional Director of Agriculture (Extn) would be the Member Secretary.

Similarly, Governing Board of Agriculture Technology Management Agency for Ambala, Panchkula, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Fatehabad, Jind, Narnaul, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Panipat, Jhajjar, Mewat and Bhiwani districts had been constituted for the implementation of centrally sponsored scheme 'Support to State Extension Programmes for extension Reforms'.

These Agencies had been constituted with an aim to provide innovative and decentralised institutional arrangements in the form of an Agriculture-Technology Management Agency (ATMA) to make extension system farmer driven and farmer accountable.
