Tributes paid to martyrs of World War I

Puducherry, Nov 11 (UNI) Floral tributes were paid to soldiers, who had sacrificed their lives during the First World War on the occasion of the 89th ''Armistice Day'' today.

Consul General of France in Puducherry Jollie Rayet and Health Secretary T M Balakrishnan placed wreaths at the War Memorial on the Goubert Avenue here, on behalf of the Lt Governor, to mark the occasion.
