TNCC chief condemns attack on YC President

Chennai, Nov 11 (UNI) TNCC President M Krishnaswamy, convalescing at his residence after being stabbed two weeks ago, today condemned the stabbing of State Youth Congress president Mayura Jayakumar.

In a statement here, he urged the police to take stringent action against the culprits.

He said the incident inside the TNCC headquarters had taken place at a time when he was recuperating from a stab injury he had suffered near Pasumpon in Ramanathapuram district two weeks ago while he was on his way to offer homage to freedom fighter Muthuramalinga Thevar.

Several Congress MLAs also condemned the attack on Mr Jayakumar.
