Paswan demands CBI probe into Begusarai PP murder case

Patna, Nov 11 (UNI) Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief and Union Steel Minister Ram Vilas Paswan today demanded a CBI probe into the murder of a public prosecutor (PP) and alleged that there had been a well-knit conspiracy against his MP Surajbhan Singh.

Some unidentified miscreants had shot dead Ram Naresh Sharma at Pokharia mohalla under town police station in Begusarai district on Thursday last.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Paswan condoled the death of Mr Sharma saying that the latter was his colleague and both had toured jail on several occasions.

He said Mr Sharma's murder had exposed the lawlessness prevailing in the state.

''I had talked to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar the day Mr Sharma was killed and urged him to recommend the case to CBI for fair investigation'' he added.
