One killed, six injured in septic tank collapse

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 11 (UNI) One person was killed and six others were injured when a septic tank caved in at Kattayikonam in this district of Kerala today.

Police said the concrete slab of the tank caved in when a group of people, who came to attend a funeral stood above it. As many as 12 people fell into the tank and eleven of them were rescued by the local people.

The deceased was identified as Sadanandan(87).

The injured were admitted to the Medical College Hospital.
