Ningol Chakkouba to be celebrated tomorrow

Imphal, Nov 11 (UNI) The Ningol Chakkouba, one of the grandest festivals of Manipur, will be celebrated throughout the state tomorrow.

All married women will go to their parents' houses for a grand feast and gifts will be bestowed on them and their children by their parents and brothers.

In view of the festival, all the markets of the state wore a colourful look today and the Khwairamband Keithel, the main market of Imphal, was full of crowds.

Meanwhile, the state Transport department banned the entry of all vehicles into the market areas for the convenience of large number of people thronging the markets.
