Kalia exhorts teachers to train students with ethical values

Ludhiana, Nov 11 (UNI) Punjab Industry and Local Bodies Minister Manoranjan Kalia has exhorted the teachers to enthuse the qualities of discipline, moral values and service to the humanity amongst the students, so that they could make excellent contribution in the harmonious transformation of the society.

Mr. Kalia was addressing a function to organised to celebrate 138th Parkash Utsav of Jain Acharya Shrimad Vijay Vallabh Surishwer Ji at S.A.N Jain Senior Secondary here today.

Referring to the ancient traditions of India, Mr.Kalia said even now our social and moral values were proving to be source of inspiration for the people.

He stressed that no country can make substantial achievements in the field of development and service without providing quality education to the citizen.

The Minister called upon the students to acquire excellence in the professional education so that they could compete for the enormous job opportunities at the world level created with the fast developments in the various fields of technology.

Paying tributes to Jain Acharya Shrimad Vijay Vallabh Surishwer, Mr. Kalia said that these great Saints had preached peace and non violence, which was the basic principle for the creation of evil free society. He appealed the people to follow the footsteps of our great Saints and Gurus and work for the strengthening of mutual brotherhood among the different section of society.

He announced a grant of Rs. One lakh for the school and released two souvenirs of the school. The Minister also announced to get the expired lease deed of the Land of the school further extended.
