FWBTA condemns repeated "Bangla bandhs"

Kolkata, Nov 11 (UNI) Condemning tomorrow's bandh, jointly called by Congress and SUCI and supported by AITC, Federation of West Bengal Trade Association (FWBTA) chairman Mahesh Singhania today said such repeated call for bandhs severly affects trade, industry and daily wage-earners.

''We condemn the unfortunate incidents in Nandigram and demand the earliest possible solution to the problem from the government,'' Mr Singhania said adding, ''We strongly oppose the repeated bandhs as they will not bring any solution.'' ''Trade, industry and daily wage-earners are the worst-hit with an estimated loss of about Rs 300 crore,'' he stated demanding compensation from the bandh callers.
