M V S Lakshadweep crew rescued in Kerala
Kozhikode, Nov 11: Local fishermen rescued the six-member crew of a missing merchant vessel off Beypore port near here today.
Coast Guard sources said Jerald, Jackson, Ricktson, Reagan, Vijayan, all natives of Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu and one Hamza hailing from Mangalore in Karnataka, were admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital, where their condition was stated to be stable.
They were floating on a life boat after their vessel 'MVS Lakshadweep'' owned by Lakshadweep Marketing Society sank 90 nautical miles off Mangalore port on November eight.
They were sailing to Kalpeni from Mangalore port when the mishap occurred.
