DMK urges Govt to withdraw election related cases

Puducherry, Nov 11 (UNI) The Puducherry unit of the DMK has urged the administration to take immediate steps to withdraw all the election-related cases in the Union Territory.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at the party office bearers meeting of the party here yesterday.

Another resolution urged the amdinistration to take immediate steps to modernise all the taxtile mills here to make it function profitably.

Resolutions urging the Government separate reservation to the minorities here to fix the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of paddy at Rs 1000 per quintal and waiver of agricultural loans, were among others adopted at the meeting.

The Puducherry DMK unit had collected Rs 15 lakh for the party's youth Wing Conference to be held in Tirunelveli on December 15 and 16 and the fund would be handed over to Secretary of DMK youth wing M L Stalin, when he visit Puducherry on November 18, a party press release said here today.
