The BJP alleged the UPA Government of protecting the Buddhadeb Bhattacharya Government in West Bengal.
The Centre is doing all kinds of favour to the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) led Government of the state, said the BJP.
"The CPI-M is 'Centre protected murderers'. The Nandigram violence has exposed the real face of the communist party," BJP Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said here.
"The Central Government is only shedding crocodile tears and doing nothing on the ground despite Governor's report and widespread anger," he added.
Naqvi also said that the Nandigram episode has exposed the hypocrisy of the CPI-M that they were practising over the last three decades.
At least two people were killed when alleged CPI-M cadres clashed with activists of the Trinamool Congress spearheaded Bhumi Ucched Pratirodh Committee at Nandigram.
Even though the West Bengal Government has called off the proposed Special Economic Zone in Nandigram, it has been the scene of recurring clashes since January resulting in deaths, including 14 in police firing and violence on March 14 when villagers resisted the police from entering.
