Bandit kingpin Janardan Yadav killed in encounter

Bagha(Bihar), Nov 11 (UNI) A bandit gang kingpin Janaradan Yadav was killed in an encounter with the police in the Gandak riverin area of Bagha in West Chamapran district today.

Police Superintendent Kaleshwar Paswan here today said that acting on a tip-off, a police squad raided the riverin area to nab the dacoit. The bandits opened fire on the police, which resulted in the police retaliating with heavy firing.

The kingpin of the dacoit gang Janardan Yadav was killed on the spot. A country-made pistol and cartridges were recovered from the spot.

The deceased dacoit was wanted by the police in connection with several cases for the past many years.
