Demon Narakasur burning in Goa

Goa, Nov, 8 : Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights is celebrated in India's western Goa by burning the huge effigies of Demon Narakasur.

In Goa, people come out in large numbers and competitions are held for the 'Narakasur killing'. But this year the rains created havoc and almost all the competitions in Goa were cancelled. However, the competition was held at Margao in South Goa.
