U'khand Min to be honoured with Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa)

Dehra Dun, Nov 10 (UNI) Uttarakhand Health Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has been selected for the Degree of Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) by the Board of Directors of Medicina Alternativa and Open International University for Complementary Medicines.

Dr Nishank would be honoured with the degree in the three-day convocation ceremony of the University during World Congress of Integrated Medicines scheduled to be held from November 11 at Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Colombo, Srilanka.

He would also deliver a lecture on Medicines during the World Congress that would be attended by 99 countries.

Dr Nishank would also be awarded with the 'Sahitya Gaurabh Samman' by countries having Hindi speaking diaspora like Maritius, Indonesia, Malaysia and Trinidad for his contribution to Hindi literature.

He left for Colombo today.
