Soldier held for setting afire houses in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 10 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Police today said they have arrested a soldier and registered a case against him for allegedly trying to set ablaze residential houses and cowsheds at a village in border district of Kupwara.

They said the police arrested and registered a case against soldier Bhoop Singh, a resident of Sikar in Rajasthan and attached with 18 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), for trying to set ablaze residential houses and cowsheds at Gogal, Lolab village in Kupwara district.

The arrested soldier was allegedly caught red handed by the locals of the village and later handed over to the police.
