Media Advisory Committee condemns electronic media personnel

Hyderabad, Nov 10 (UNI) Media Advisory Committee of Andhra Pradesh Legislature today condemned the electronic media personnel for violating the norms and reaching the podium, where the Legislative Council Chairman sits, while the proceedings were on.

According to a release here, the Committee, which met under the Chairmanship of Legislative Council Chairman A Chakrapani, however, decided not to take any action against those guilty after Andhra Pradesh Electronic Media Association President R Sailesh Reddy expressed regrets on the incident.

The Committee also decided to erect a media point at rear the compound wall of the Council for the convenience of electronic media personnel.

The lawns of the Jubilee Hall would be temporarily demarcated and mediapersons would not be allowed to enter the inner lobby.

A separate door would be opened for the media personnel through the Officers Gallery to enter the outer lobby and they would be barred from sitting in the Officers' Gallery, the release added.
