JD(S) welcomes CoD inquiry into Bellary group clash incident
Bangalore, Nov 10: Karnataka Janata Dal (S) President Merajuddin Patel today welcomed the decision of the Karnataka Government ordering a Corps of Detective (CoD) inquiry into yesterday's group clash in Bellary district in which three party workers were killed and another three injured.
Speaking to newsmen here today he said that the party legislator from Bellary district Suryanarayana Reddy had charged that Bharatiya Janata Party was responsible for the gruesome murder. However, the district Superintendent of Police had denied it. "Let CoD officials conduct inquiry and present their report before blaming anybody" he said.
Denying that the Bellary incident would have its adverse impact on the new-born relationship with BJP and JD(S) Mr Merajuddin Patel said that "once Police submitted their report on the issue truth would come out whether BJP leaders were involved into the incident or not" he said.
