Housewife commits suicide due to harassment by husband

Vijayawada, Nov 10: A 25-year-old housewife committed suicide early today by hanging from a ceiling fan due to alleged harassement by her husband and sister-in-law.

Police said Karimuna Jana took the extreme step after her husband and sister-in-law scolded and assaulted her for taking a gas connection with the Dwacra loan of Rs 5,000, recently. The husband Karimulla was at large.

The body was shifted to the Government General Hospital for post-mortem. A case had been registered and investigation was, underway, police added.
