Ambala, Nov 10 (UNI) Senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj today claimed that the party will retain power in Gujarat and wrest it from the Congress in Himachal Pradesh in the coming assembly elections in the two states.

Talking to UNI at the PWD Rest House here, she said the BJP was strong enough in Gujarat and would get majority on the strength of its performance.

She said the party under the leadership of Chief Minister Narender Modi had further been stabilised, adding there were no differences in the party cadres in Gujarat.

Referring to Himachal Pradesh, Ms Swaraj said the Virbhadra Singh Government had lost confidence of the people during its five years ''misrule''.

She said the BJP had fair chances to come to power by winning majority in the Assembly elections in the state. She claimed people were disillusioned with the ''misdoings'' of the ruling party in the state.
