Eluru, Nov 10 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh BJP unit President Bandaru Dattatreya today strongly criticised the Urban Land Ceiling Wing for exempting the land of Kankipadu Legislator Devineni Rajaseskar, from the Urban Land Ceiling Act.

"The Congress Legislator's land at Hyderabad costs crores of rupees," he alleged at a press conference here.

He also alleged that Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had regularised the 12,000 square yards land by exempting it from the Act, while he had no powers to exempt land above 3,000 square yards.

Claiming that the GO in this regard, issued in 2003, had expired in 2006, he alleged it was "illegal" to regularise Mr Rajasekhar's lands, citing some clauses of the expired GO.

Mr Dattatreya also demanded holding of the lands in abeyance.
