Armenia to hold presidential election on February 19

YEREVAN, Nov 9 (Reuters) Armenia will hold a presidential election on February 19, the central election commission said today.

In line with the constitution, an election must take place 50 days before the end of the current president's term. A president may not serve more than two consecutive five-year terms.

President Robert Kocharyan's second term expires next year. He was first elected in 1998 and re-elected in 2003.
