Train collides at Allahabad station, three injured
Lucknow, Nov 8 (UNI) The stationary Darbhanga-Pune Express was tonight hit by the Hawrah-bound Chambal Express, moving at higher than the normal speed at the outer area of Allahabad station of North Central Railways (NCR), injuring three people, including its guard.
NCR spokesman Bagish Prasad Pandey told UNI that the guard of Darbangha-Pune Express was taken out of the affected bogie.
Meanwhile, all the injured have been admitted to the Railway Hospital.
The engine of the Chambal Express was severly damaged because of the impact, he said, adding that the speed of the Chambal Express at the site of the accident was higher than what it should have been.
The rail traffic has been affected on the route.
