Fire broke out in an oil tanker

Barasat, Nov 08: Fire broke out in an oil tanker at the Abal Siddhi crossing on NH 34 under Amdanga police station in North 24 Parganas today.

According to Fire Brigade here, fire broke out at about 10 am this morning. Four fire tenders were pressed into service. No casualty was reported so far, fire brigade sources said.

Police cordoned off the area and controlled traffic on the busy national highway. Vehicular traffic was diverted through Kalyani Express for the time being.
