MSRTC employee held for accepting Rs 500 bribe

Nashik, Nov 7 (UNI) An employee of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) was arrested red handed today while accepting a bribe of Rs 500 in Nandgaon taluka of this district.

According to Anti-Corruption Bureau sources, the accused, Valmik Ramkrishna Sonawane, a Traffic Inspector, was arrested while accepting a bribe of Rs 500 from the complainant, at his office at Nandgaon bus station. Sonawane had demanded the bribe to sanction a four-day leave to the complainant.

A team of Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths, led by Dy SP K D Vidhate, apprehended Sonawane.
