Man booked for posing as 'Z News' correspondent

Sonepat, Nov 8 (UNI) Police today registered a case against a man who posed as 'Z News' correspondent in the office of Sonepat Superintendent of Police (SP) recently.

Roshan Lal Rana had been booked under various sections of IPC for allegedly assuming the fake identity of 'Z News' correspondent in the SP office here on November 5, police said.

SSP Navdeep Singh Virk said Roshan Lal, along with two others, came to his office and after introducing him as 'Z News' correspondent, he wanted to take information about the police work. He also told the police that he had to recover his money from someone.

Suspecting his identity, police later sent an e-mail message to 'Z News' office which denied that Roshan was employed with the channel.
