Justice Mongia is PSHRC chairperson

Chandigarh, Nov 8 (UNI) The Punjab government today appointed former Gauhati High Court Chief Justice R S Mongia as the chairperson of the Punjab State Human Rights Commission (PSHRC), an official release here said.

The appointment orders were issued by Governor Gen(retd) S F Rodrigues.

Justice Mongia also served at the Punjab and Haryana High Court before being shifted to Gauhati.

His appointment will be effective from the date he assumes charge of his office.
