HP Governor, CM greet people on Diwali

Shimla, Nov 8 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Governor V S Kokje and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today greeted the people of the state on the eve of Diwali.

The Governor, in his message, said that the festival of lights symbolished the journey from ignorance towards knowledge and lights the lamp of knowledge within us.

It also signifies the victory over the evil, he said in a release here.

In his message, the Chief Minister said that the festival was an occasion to share joy and happiness with the near and dear ones.

Mr Singh hoped that the festival would bring prosperity and happiness into the lives of the state.
