Five militants nabbed by police in Imphal

Imphal, Nov 8 (UNI) Five militants from two different outfits have been nabbed by Imphal West district police commandos.

Imphal West SP Clay Khongsai today said four cadres of Naga National Council(NNC) and one of People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) were nabbed from different parts of Imphal yesterday.

The SP also said that the four cadres of NNC had been identified, including one SS Lt Jodai Kamei, who had joined the outfit through one late SS Captain Galian and was working as adjutant of Ist Battalion of the Naga Army Federal Government of Nagaland(FGN) under the command of Battalion commander SS Major Thangdolung.

Kamei had been assigned to demand an amount of Rs 20 lakh each from Irrigation and Flood Control Department and Water Supply Department, police sources informed.
