Convict slips away from guard hands

Aizawl, Nov 8 (UNI) A convict serving a life term at the Aizawl Central Jail slipped away from his guard while being brought to the Aizawl civil hospital yesterday.

Lalthuthlungliana(31) was taken to the hospital for medical check-up along with two other prisoners with one guard each.

Police said while they were in the reception counter he fled despite being handcuffed.

The central jail authorities filed an FIR with the Aizawl police.

Lalthuthlungliana was convicted for raping two minors.
