3 killed, 10 fall sick due to food poisoning

Gulbarga, Nov 8 (UNI) Three people died and ten others fell sick due to food poisoning at Gurmitkal town in the district last night.

According to police sources here today, as many as 13 people, all labourers, fell sick when their employers' served them refreshments.

The labourers had come to whitewash a house in Gurmitkal town last evening.

The labourers, who complained of giddiness and vomiting after consuming the food, were admitted to a nearby hospital here.

Three labourers, however, died on the way to the hospital, while the other ten were recovering.

The hospitalised victims also included those who prepared the food and served to others, the sources added.
