2 sisters among 5 killed in road accident

Gorakhpur, Nov 8 (UNI) At least five people, including two siblings, were killed and two others critically injured after a speeding three-wheeler, carrying them, collided head-on with a mini truck in Belipar area of the district.

The vehicle, en route from Mahaveer Chapra to Denwarpar, dashed against the upcoming truck on Nausar-Barhalganj road last evening, killing four passengers instantly.

The injured were admitted to Baba Raghavdas Medical College in critical condition, where another succumbed.

Meanwhile, the truck driver fled the scene.

The deceased were indentified as Riyasat (62), Bechna Devi (65), Ram Hari (50), and two sisters Kiran (30) and Munni, police said today.

Bodies had been sent for autopsy.
