Security remains tight in Pakistan

Islamabad/ Karachi, Nov. 7, 2007 : Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, President of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League told a newspaper that President Pervez Musharraf is likely to end emergency rule.

Hussain also said that the president understood the ramifications of failing to lift the widely criticised measure. His comments were printed in the country's English newspaper Dawn's Wednesday edition.
