Six firecracker shops engulf in fire

Ahmedabad, Nov 7 (UNI) As many as six firecracker-selling shops were engulfed in a fire here today.

Fire brigade sources said the fire broke out in a firecracker selling shop situated in the city's Manekchowk area at 1952 hrs and soon spread to the other shops. They pressed into service seven fire fighters, ten water tankers, four fire brigade officials and one ambulance to the spot. However, there were no casualties.

The fire-fighters succeeded in extinguishing the blaze after a while and brought the situation under control.
