Seven militants nabbed in Manipur

Imphal, Nov 7: About seven militants were nabbed in separate incidents by troops and police during the last 48 hours.

Imphal East Superintendent of Police (SP) L Kailun said here today that a combined team of Imphal East (IE) commandos and 32 Assam Rifles (AR) arrested three People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) ultras yesterday.

Another team of IE police conducted a cordon and search operation at Heirangoithong maibam Leikai in Imphal and apprehended a Kanglei yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) cadre yesterday.

Later, a Kuki National Front (KNF) cadre was also nabbed.

The SP said a People's Liberation Army (PLA) ultra was also nabbed yesterday.

The PRO of AR said 19 AR personnel nabbed a Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) cadre yesterday.
